EMDR Therapy
Healing painful experiences so they don't have to keep defining the present.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help process distressing or overwhelming experiences.
Through bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or tapping, EMDR helps the brain reprocess difficult memories so they can feel less distressing and hold less power over you.
-
Understanding your experiences, concerns, and treatment goals.
-
Building coping and regulation skills before processing begins.
-
Identifying target memories, beliefs, emotions, and physical sensations.
-
Using bilateral stimulation while focusing on the target experience.
-
Strengthening more adaptive and supportive beliefs.
-
Noticing and addressing remaining physical distress.
-
Ending the session with regulation and grounding.
-
Reviewing progress and identifying what still needs attention.

Emotional Regulation
My approach is integrative. Somatic Experiencing® can support nervous-system regulation before, during, and after EMDR processing.
Together, these approaches allow us to address both the memory and the body's response to it.

You don't have to continue carrying the same emotional weight from an experience that happened in the past.
